
Yoga
Yoga means UNION. It is the union of mind, body, and spirit. There are many types of Yoga and so many levels. Having been trained in the Sivananda lineage, I teach Hatha yoga which is a form of Classical yoga.
We focus on Asanas (poses) and Pranayama (breathing control). These two are essential to balancing and increasing the Life Force Energy we all have within our bodies. It can be intimidating joining a class especially if you have never been to one or you feel uncomfortable exercising in front of people.
You may also have suffered an injury, are recovering from treatment, or surgery. Attending a regular yoga class may not be practical. I can provide an individual program suited to your needs and ability. In our initial consultation, you will learn proper breathing and we will go through a series of poses to assess your initial level of comfort and ability. We will also discuss and work on any areas that you feel the need to improve and build strength in.
